Negotiating Power Imbalances – Finding Your Fierce Factor

Power imbalances are built into the system and there is no level playing field in the workplace.  Whether it is subconscious or more deliberate, the abuse of power via bullying, harassment, pay inequity, cronyism, and more, the schism is even greater for women of color.   Given our astounding underrepresentation in decision-making roles, women of color are disproportionately impacted on all levels — economically, personally, politically, socially and culturally.

So, what can we, what should we, and what will we do to claim our power?

Digital Diversity Network invites you to participate in this conversation around successfully navigating the inherent culture of power imbalance; being fierce; and standing in your complete power. Led by leading women of color in media, entertainment and tech, this is an event that you don’t want to miss.

Confirmed speakers, to-date, include:

  • Sahara Bushue, SVP, Alternative Programming,NBCUniversal Entertainment
  • Thai Randolph, EVP & General Manager, Laugh Out Loud Network
  • Aaliyah Williams, Chief Content Officer, The Digital Studio at MACRO
  • Amelia Winger-Bearskin, Director of Product, Decoded & Founder, IDEA New Rochelle
